Private Luxury Turkey Tours – Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrival and Stay overnight in Istanbul
Arriving to the airport in Istanbul and transfer to the hotel.
Day 2 – Istanbul Full day Private Tour
Breakfast at hotel and begin full day sightseeing tour of Istanbul. We’ll visit Topkapi Palace (harem section is optional), ancient Roman Hippodrome (center of the chariot races) and proceed to the Hagia Sophia, the Byzantine church which was converted to a mosque in 15th century. We will continue our Sultanahmet tour with the Blue Mosque and finally we will stop at Grand Covered Bazaar and will have free time to discover 4000 tiny shops in the passageways of the world’s largest covered bazaar. Overnight in Istanbul. (Lunch)
Day 3 Private Bosphorus Yacht Cruise
This morning you’ll be picked-up at your hotel and proceed to the “Spice Bazaar” (also known as the Egyptian Bazaar). With its array of spices, dried fruits, nuts and seeds, Lokum (“Turkish Delight”) and other exotic edibles, the Bazaar has the fragrance and atmosphere of the Middle East. After a brief visit, you continue to the embarkation point of your Bosphorus cruise, offering wonderful views of Istanbul’s European and Asian shorelines with their Ottoman palaces, citadels, and centuries-old mansions. At the end of the cruise (approx. 1:00 pm), you will be driven back to your hotel. The balance of the day is free for independent activities.
Day 4 – Istanbul to Cappadocia Business Class Domestic Flight – Cappadocia Private Tour
Take flight to Kayseri or Nevsehir airport early in the morning on arrival to Cappadocia proceed to Goreme our first real encounter with Cappadocia almost Martian landscape is in the Dervent valley. We visit Pasabag “fairy chimneys”, where the voice of the wind harmonizes with songs of the fairies. From here we pause at Avanos center of terracotta art. After lunch we visit the famous Goreme Open Air Museum to see the best examples of Byzantine art in Cappadocia. We complete the tour with a visit to the Uchisar Rock-Castle, giving you a panoramic view of the valleys of Cappadocia. Overnight in Cappadocia. (Lunch)
Day 5 – Cappadocia Full day Private Tour Optional Private Hot air Balloons
Tour Starting from Red valley and explore the famous rock- cut churches and hike 2 km through the Gulludere valley. Then visit Cavusin village. Old Cavusin was abandoned several decades ago due to avalanches. The two most important churches in Cavusin are the Great Basilica dedicated to St. John the Baptist (located on the cliff above the village) and Cavusin church or the “Great Pigeon House” commemorating a visit of the famous Cappadocian Emperor Nicephorus Phocas. After lunch drive to the Pigeon Valley. In the afternoon visit Kaymakli or Ozkonak Underground City, where early Christians lived in fear and faith. The ancient name was Enegup. The houses in the village are constructed around the nearly one hundred tunnels of the underground city, which is one of the most interesting underground settlements in Cappadocia. Day 6 – Cappadocia to Kusadasi Business Class Domestic Flight
Transfer to Airport for the Flight to Izmir on arrival to Izmir Transfer to Kusadasi for Overnight Stay.
Day 7 – Ephesus Private Tour
The tour starting with St John Basilica , drive to Ancient City Ephesus which is located on the west coast of Asia Minor, walk down to the Celsius library, the Temple Of Hadrian and the Trajan Fountain in the Ancient Ephesus. After walking on the historical marble street to the Great Theater where St. Paul preached will meet at the end. featuring selection of Turkish lunch .In the afternoon will visit the carpet cooperative weaving center to see how the Turkish carpets are made by hand. Proceed to House of Mother Mary, it is believed where she spent recent years of her life. Ephesus Archeological Museum to see findings of Ephesus excavations.At the end fashion show will be at leather outlet center Finally proceeding to Temple Of Artemis (Diana), on the side of one of the seven wonders of ancient World. Overnight in Kusadasi. (Lunch)
Day 8 Pamukkale Aphrodisias Private Tour
Departure to Aphrodisias the city of Goddess Aphrodite Hierapolis which is famous with its healing thermal / mineral Baths beautiful snow-white “petrified waterfalls”. After lunch visit Hierapolis, including the magnificently preserved Necropolis, the main Street and Gates, the thermal Baths, Masterpiece Theater and then then Laodicea ancient site is of great religious importance as it is mentioned in the Bible as one of the ‘seven churches of Asia. Overnight in Kusadasi. (Lunch)
DAY 9 – Kusadasi to Istanbul Business Class Domestic Flight
Transfer from Kusadasi to Izmir airport for the flight back to Istanbul. Overnight stay in Istanbul.
DAY 10 – Istanbul to Back home
Free time till transfer to airport or Istanbul Extension
